| I started quilting in 1972 when my Mother suggested we cut up the Ball gowns she had acquired through years of attending the AkSarBen Ball in Omaha, Nebraska; and make them into something else. I decided to make a practice quilt first. I chose red and brown fabric that I collected for a year and made my first Log Cabin Quilt. It was as if I were telling a story in pure color. |
