I have a BA in Philosophy from Vassar College and no training in Art or the mechanics of sewing.  Fortunately, the sewing machine is portable, and I could take it with me on trips to Canada.  I bought a series of fruit and vegetable fabrics and began making my series of Kitchen Quilts.   Beginning with a center square, images are extended outward forming a mandala. My quilts got larger.  I worked on several quilts at a time and began dreaming about a larger studio.
